As you all know, Ben has been learning to ride his bike. I really did not now if he would do it this summer because he was so hesitant. Well, he conquered his fear and he is doing it.
The other big thing to happen at our house is… DAN IS WALKING!!!!! It took him awhile to get the hang of it but he is doing really well now. He loves to walk and walk and walk and walk. These pictures are not of his first steps but they were taken shortly there after. He was still unstable when these taken. He had fallen into an area we had dug up for a flower bed along the sidewalk. It was cute watching him try to get out.
These pictures are not great quality but still cute.
As many of you know Robert plays the bagpipes with the fire department. Here are a couple of pictures of him performing and practicing. Thought maybe you would like to see him in all his stuff.
In our backyard practicing.
More 9-11
The whole point of this post was not to show you Bob playing his bagpipes. This post is about how dangerous practicing can be. A couple of weeks ago he was practicing his chanter (that is what they practice on before they pay it on the bagpipes) and he went to sit down. When he sat down, he bumped his chanter off the desk and it jabbed into the roof of his mouth. He thought he was going to need stitches so we called the dentist. When we went in he found that a pretty big chunk of skin had been dug out but since the skin was still there he decided not to do the stitches. This next picture is kind of gross so if you have a weak stomach, you might want to skip it.
I took this right after it happened.
I know I am jumping around a lot in this post but that is alright. Last week we were out mowing the lawn and Ben wanted to give it a try.
He actually did really well and don't worry his dad stayed with him the whole time. Well, that is what we have been up to lately.
