Sorry I have not posted anything in awhile. However, we have been up to lots of fun stuff.
Here are a few of the things we have done or are planning to do this next week.
Baked cupcakes together (it was fun to let the kids help)
Mentos and diet coke fountain
Marshmallow guns ( they are very excited for this one)
Balloon hacky sacks
Those are the ones we have planned for this week. Last week was so crazy we did not have time to do too many things. If you are interested in any of these things let me know. I would be happy to tell you how to do them.

Fun weekend
This weekend we went down to Utah to be with my mom. We had so much fun being with her. I thought that since I was going on "vacation" I would not need any boredom busters. I was very wrong. Kids still get bored on vacation. My mom is the most amazing mom ever and she makes an even better grandma. She had the boys playing in water, mud, with her dishes, and other things. The boys loved every minute of it. Here are some pictures from our trip.
Playing in the mud. They loved doing this.
We went to the airplane museum and the boys loved it.
Grandma in the pool with the boys.
Dan likes the dog bed more than the dog does.

Don't let it……….touch the ground!!
Another balloon activity (i have like 50 in the list because the balloons were so cheap) is blowing up regular balloons and having the boys play different games with them. One of their favorites was to try to keep the balloon from hitting the ground. Once they mastered one balloon, they tried it with two. They played this for like 2 hours. I am not kidding. I don't have too many pictures of this one but I do have a couple.
Trying really hard.
The kind of balloons we used.

Water balloon fight
Today I went to the store and picked up some water balloons for a dollar. When I brought them home the boys found them right away. They wanted to take them out and start playing with them. Bob told them no and to go out and play in the sprinklers. I thinking he was being kind of mean but as soon as the boys were out he rushed me into the bathroom and we started to fill the balloons. That is right, we surprised the boys with a balloon fight. They LOVED it. It was so much fun to go out there and play with them. It was a nice way to cool off on such a hot day.
Our stash!!
Right after Bob surprised them.
Getting ready to throw some more.

Car Slingshot
The boys got themselves a rubber band and stretched it across the legs of the chair. They wanted to see if they could fling their cars across the floor. The fun thing about this activity is that they had to figure out how high or low to place the rubber band on the chair and then which kind of car was the best to use. They experimented with a bunch of different cars, but I only got pictures of them using the fire truck. (I was doing dished while they were doing this). It was a lot of fun to see them work together to figure it out.

Sleeping under the stars
Yesterday was a very crazy day. Usually my Fridays are so quiet and I can get all my cleaning done. That was not the case this week. I had to run and get groceries which ended up being a 4 hour trip and then came home cooked dinner, and then Bob had to run into town for a class. I did not have time to fit in a fun, unusual activity and so we settled for a movie and sleeping under the stars. The boys got to choose their movie and we camped out on the living room floor for that. By the time Bob got home, it was dark enough for them to go out and sleep on the trampoline under the stars. The boys loved it. (I don't have any pictures. I was too tired.)
While I was grocery shopping I did pick up some of the fun materials we need to do that other boredom busters. I think I spent about 15 dollars on items that will entertain for the next month. I am very excited. Come back on Monday and check it out.

Here is what we did yesterday
Yesterday the boys wanted to play in the sprinkler. Bob and I went one step better. We filled the little pool, put it at the bottom of the slide, and ran the hose at the top so the slide was wet. When the boys were done in the water, they got on the tramp to dry off.
Ian loved going down the slide and into the pool. He did it for like 2 hours.
He is so skinny. I swear I feed him. He is 1/3 of the reason our grocery bill is so high.

We're Bored!!!!
(I am pretty sure I have heard that at least a hundred times since school was out. The kids have been cranky and very unpleasant lately. I decided to take matters into my own hands. I went online and found a ton of different things for us to do each day until school starts. I am not sure how I want to share all of these. I don't know if I should just show one thing each day we did or if I should place the whole list. Until I get everything organized and figure out how I want to post everything, I thought I would share what we did today.
Today I dumped all the toys out of one of the boxes the boys have for storing cars. (Something I don't do often because I have clutter issues. HAHAHAHA) I then told one of them to get in it and I started to push them around. After they got the idea, they started to push each other. They even let Dan get in on the action.
(These pictures are not the best. I just set my camera to automatic and took the picture. I usually set everything manually.)

Enjoying some time together
Robert loves to fly RC airplanes and we enjoy going down and watching them. He flies right down the road from our house. We live out in the country and we are surrounded by farms so it is the perfect place for them to go. A couple of days ago we went down and watched him fly with some friends. The boys love to go down and get in the dirt and play.
As you can see, Dan was eating the dirt. I was pulling little rocks out of his mouth.
Ian dancing.
We were telling the boys that you can put a piece of hay in your mouth and be a real farmer. Ben did not believe us.
Ian was all for trying it out.
Ben finally tried it and thought he was pretty cool. Ben and Ian's mouths were dirty because they were playing in the dirt and then they were touching their faces.
Too much fun for this little guy. He was ready to get to bed.

Riding a Horse
Dan has watched his brothers riding the toy horse and wanted to give it try. Unfortunately, he is not coordinated enough and kept falling over. It was fun watching him.
Soccer
Last week Ben had soccer practice and he was not very good. He had never played before and really had no idea how he was supposed to play. Last night was their first game and he was AWESOME. His team only scored two goals but my kid was the one who made both of them. (I know I had to brag. I don't do it often) He had so much fun. He had a permanent smile on his face. Here are a few pictures.
These first ones are of him making his first goal. He was so amazed he did it.
Getting ready to kick the ball really hard.
Some lovin' for his momma.
It was so much fun watching all the little kids run around the field. They were all so happy to be out there playing.
